Programmed Skilled Workforce are currently seeking an experienced Sanitation team leader to join their client located in Epping who specialize in the manufacturing and distribution of Premium Food Products.
The successful applicant will have proven sanitation leadership experience, ideally within a food or beverage manufacturing environment, and must be available to work 12 hour shifts on Saturday's and Sunday's (and some week days as required).
Qualifications / Minimum experience required:
- Proven sanitation leadership experience, ideally within food or beverage manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated experience in cleaning and sanitizing large industrial equipment and production lines
- Forklift Licence is highly Desirable but not essential
- Harness and working-at-heights experience is desirable
- Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage a large, diverse team in a production environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, SQF) and manufacturing compliance requirements
- Available to work 12 hour shifts on night/early morning shifts on weekends and some week days
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Must have full work rights long-term
- Physically fit to climb ladders, perform heavy lifting/manual handling, and stand for extended periods
About your new role / Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and coordinate sanitation staff (approx. 40 team members) in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Oversee and participate in cleaning of large-scale production machinery and processing equipment, including safe harness use where required
- Ensure thorough cleaning of production areas, including floors, walls, drains, and high-care zones, in line with hygiene and food manufacturing standards
- Manage equipment changeovers and sanitation schedules to minimize downtime and support production efficiency
- Monitor compliance with OH&S policies, food safety standards, and company sanitation procedures
- Conduct checks to verify hygiene standards and maintain audit readiness (HACCP, GMP, SQF, customer audits)
- Provide hands-on training and ongoing support to new and existing staff until competent
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, chemical usage, and staff attendance
- Communicate effectively with production, quality assurance, and management teams to ensure sanitation supports manufacturing goals
